Cradled in Love

One of the most special baby gifts that we received was a beautiful cradle that my dad hand crafted for Trip. As you can see from these pictures, he put a lot of time and love into this project and it turned out great.

From plain wood...

...to a beautiful cradle for a sleepy little boy.

Thank you Dad/Grandpa for this wonderful gift! How many little boys get to sleep in a bed that their grandpa lovingly made for them? We feel very special.

Three Months!

Here is Trip in his monkey suit from his Papa. He's getting strong enough to sit in his Bumbo now, which is nice.

Three months old

The one monkey picture that turned out nicely. I love his expression.

Truck 'n Treat

My friend Kristen and I took our boys to a "Truck 'n Treat" event in Fruita this morning. There were lots of different kinds of trucks and candy for the kids. We had a blast!

We had to get a picture of Kristen and Elijah with the Sheriff's car.

The boys with the SWAT truck.

Big tire!

Us in the Army hummer.

Peeking out of the livestock truck.

Both boys were fast asleep on our shoulders by the time we got back to the car!

We were so glad we went and look forward to doing it again next year, especially since it will be more interesting for them in a year.

Hanging Out With Friends

Our friends were here for the weekend and spent the night with us. Here are Ian, Analiese, and Trip enjoying a Bob the Builder DVD. Trip was actually interested in watching the TV. Jale was quite happy as well waiting for some popcorn to fall on the floor.

Analiese loved holding Trip.

Our little boy at twelve weeks.

He likes his pacifier at certain times, but has taken to sucking on his hands and fingers too. He hasn't decided on any particular fingers or thumb, though and sometimes ends up with both hands in his mouth.

Birthing Class Reunion

We had a reunion with our birthing class yesterday. It was so fun to get together and meet all the babies. Here we are standing in order of birth. Trip is at least a month younger than the other babies, so everyone enjoyed how small he still is.

Moms and babies: Jen and Olivia, Kelsey and Davin, Kandis and Joel, Amanda and Caydence, me and Trip.

The dads: Chris, Josh, Kirk, Nick, and Daniel. Caydence was not happy and it looks like Trip and Joel were trying to figure out what was wrong with her. Trip looks annoyed. Meanwhile Davin and Olivia were checking each other out.

Amanda had the idea to take this fun picture which turned out great. In this one you can see how much smaller Trip is.

11 Weeks Old on the 11th

Trip is full of smiles now. He has started smiling at more people, which is really fun.

I can't believe that I didn't mention this in last week's post... Trip has started sleeping through the night! He still wakes up once or twice, but all I have to do is reach down and give him his pacifier and he'll go back to sleep. That is so much nicer for me than having to feed him once or twice during the night.

This was one evening this week. His bib was sitting on the couch cushion next to him and he pulled it down and onto his arm while he was sleeping.

Ten Weeks

It's getting cold in Colorado! Actually, it's warmed up yesterday and today, but at the end of last week was already literally freezing. Unfortunately this hat's still a little big for Trip. It was cute, though so I had to get a picture.

This one looks like he took it himself.

Looking cute in his guitar shirt- Daddy's favorite.

Deciding whether to smile or cry...

I think Habe looks forward to when he can actually cuddle with Trip.
