On Friday evening, Trip was standing next to the couch as he often does. All of a sudden, he turned, let go, and took two steps on his own. It was quite unexpected as he hasn't shown too much interest in walking so far and would rather crawl than try to walk around holding our hands. Kirk and I looked at each other in surprise and applauded his effort. I was glad Trip decided to keep this momentous occasion for a time when we were both in the living room and got to enjoy it together.
Each day since has brought a few more steps, one and two at a time. He still has a long way to go and we are really not in any hurry for him to walk, but it's still fun to see.
