We have been celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday today. Trip loves watching "The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That" on PBS Kids in the mornings. He never sits down to watch an entire episode (he usually gets busy playing and running around after a few minutes), but pays attention when the "Go, go, go on an adventure" song that they sing comes on. He stands in the living room and says "Go, go, go!" Sometimes he will even point at the TV and say "Go, go, go!" or "hat", meaning that we should watch his favorite show.
For lunch, we enjoyed some green eggs. We were given some farm-fresh eggs the other day and one of them was green- perfect for today!
Really, though, I put the eggs and some spinach in the blender and then made scrambled eggs with the mixture. They look gross, but tasted great.
Trip thought they were pretty good.
We've tried to read a few Dr. Seuss books as well, but Trip hasn't made it through a whole one yet. Maybe next year!
