A Quick Visit with Grandpa and Noni

Trip and I got to enjoy an unexpected couple of days with my parents last week while Kirk went to visit a friend in Tacoma. Unfortunately Dad and Mom both had to work while we were there, but we made the most of the evenings and lunches together. Trip also had a cold and cough, but he was in a fairly good mood nonetheless.

One of the first orders of business was a haircut! Since we hadn't seen Noni for over three months, Trip's hair had a lot of time to grow out. He enjoyed playing in the sink and talking to himself in the mirror during the trim.

He enjoyed the animal finger puppets that Noni had found when we went to IKEA in December.

Something that Trip loves to do at Grandpa and Noni's house is to use their Dustbuster. He was not thrilled, however, to have his picture taken!

One evening Grandpa let Trip listen to some classical music in his headphones.

He was fascinated with the whole listening to music and headphones thing.

He liked it very much and settled in for a while (with a potholder for good measure).

Trip also loved Grandpa and Noni's cat, Lucy. She was not so fond of him, so he didn't ever really get to interact with her much. He sure liked saying her name and looking for her outside and in the laundry room, though. Since we've been home, he's started calling other cats that he sees Lucy.

What a treat! So jealous that Trip had his hair cut.... Lucas needs one desperately.
