Junior Rodeo

Our county junior rodeo was held a couple of weeks ago. Kirk, Trip, and I walked the couple of blocks over to the fairgrounds to check it out. I enjoyed watching many kids that I know from subbing at the middle and high schools compete in various events.

Trip enjoyed seeing the horses and cattle, but what he enjoyed most was playing in the grandstand and eating snacks, including some M&Ms that Daddy shared with him. He made a mess of himself, but sure liked it (and as usual, wasn't thrilled to have his picture taken)!

He had fought his morning nap, so by the time we left the rodeo, he was wiped out. So much so, in fact, that he fell asleep almost immediately once he got in the stroller! This never happens, so I was talking to him and when there was no response, I moved the shade to see him, and found him sound asleep. He woke up when I took him out of the stroller at home, but fortunately as soon as he was in his crib, he was out again.
